Rudy J. Damonti III, aged 41 and hailing from Jamestown, is facing several charges including third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, second-degree menacing, second-degree harassment, and endangering the welfare of a child as a result of an incident that occurred on a Saturday evening.
Around 7 p.m., officers observed a disorderly individual in front of the Jamestown Police Department. Upon approaching Damonti III, they discovered that he was making threats of physical harm towards a juvenile victim.
Following a more thorough investigation, it was determined that Damonti had menaced the juvenile with a broomstick while brandishing it aggressively. As police arrived at the scene, Damonti dropped the broom and attempted to initiate a physical confrontation.
He was subsequently taken into custody on the aforementioned charges and is currently being held, pending arraignment in the Jamestown City Jail.
